Graduation Card

University of Iowa Libraries | Spring 2025 | Art Direction, Print Production

As the lead student graphic designer for the University of Iowa Libraries, I was responsible for taking on a wide variety of projects that my higher-ups needed assistance on, or may not have had time to complete. The University of Iowa has strict branding guidelines and a robust visual identity that I was expected to adhere to at all times. In the rare circumstances that I was able to demonstrate some creative flair, I took full advantage and out forth as much effort as possible.

These graduation cards are an example of an instance where I was able to take creative control whilst representing the University of Iowa brand effectively. These graduation cards began as sketches in Procreate, with loose layout ideas and first drafts of hand-lettering. After many round of review with multiple teams at the libraries, these were ultimately printed for distribution among the 200+ graduating student workers at the 7 library locations on the University of Iowa Campus.
